To the CSAS,

This letter is being sent to you so that you will consider the first Post Master General of the United States for a commemorative stamp to be issued in the honor of his service to this country. The year 2013 will mark the 200th anniversary of his death on August 12, 1813. Samuel Osgood was a Revolutionary War hero who also helped found the National Acadeny of the Arts and also our first National Bank.

It's a grave oversight that a commemorative stamp has never been issued to honor this great American

We respectfully urge you to rectify this historical oversight by issuing such a commemorative stamp to celebrate the 200th anniversary of his death and giving recognition to his patriotism.

Sincerely,
